Final Authoring Checklist

Source approval

  • [ ] The current approved source was used.
  • [ ] Comments, suggestions, tracked changes, and placeholders were resolved.
  • [ ] Confidential content was separated from public content.

Structure

  • [ ] The title and headings are descriptive.
  • [ ] Heading levels follow a logical order.
  • [ ] Numbered and bulleted content uses real lists.
  • [ ] Important meaning does not depend only on color, size, position, or bold text.
  • [ ] Link text describes the destination.
  • [ ] Every link opens the intended resource.
  • [ ] Tables are necessary, simple, and have headers.
  • [ ] Tables work on a narrow screen and at increased zoom.
  • [ ] Informative images have useful alternative text.
  • [ ] Important chart conclusions are also available as text.

Formatting cleanup

  • [ ] Unnecessary Word or Google Docs styling was removed.
  • [ ] Tabs, repeated spaces, and empty paragraphs are not used for layout.
  • [ ] Fonts and spacing are consistent with the schoolboard.net site.
  • [ ] No print-only headers, footers, page numbers, or drafting notes remain.

AI-assisted conversion

  • [ ] The district approved the AI service and the type of content submitted.
  • [ ] No confidential, private, student, personnel, attorney-client, or otherwise restricted information was submitted without authorization.
  • [ ] The AI-generated HTML was compared with the complete approved source.
  • [ ] Names, dates, numbers, quotations, legal language, and OCR results are exact.
  • [ ] Invented content, prompts, review notes, and unnecessary markup were removed.
  • [ ] Images, tables, reading order, and alternative text received human review.
  • [ ] Word text boxes, charts, SmartArt, equations, and other visual objects were checked for content omitted during DOCX extraction.
  • [ ] Only the intended <div> content was copied into the Expandable HTML Source editor.
